Indication
Used for treatment of non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (Type /2 diabetes) as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic therapies, especially after failure of diet and exercise
Instruction
Take with food, ideally at mealtimes to reduce gastrointestinal side effects
Initial dosing typically 500 /mg three times daily (tds) or 750 /mg twice daily (bd); maximum dose up to 3 /g per day
Swallow tablet whole with water—do not chew, crush, or break it
