Vastarel MR 35 /mg is indicated as:
Add-on therapy for the symptomatic treatment of stable angina pectoris (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart).
It is used in adults who are not adequately controlled by first-line anti-anginal drugs (like beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers), or cannot tolerate them.
It is not used to treat acute angina attacks or heart attacks.
One tablet (35 /mg), twice daily
Once in the morning
Once in the evening
Take with meals to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset.
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Do not chew, crush, or split the tablet, as it is modified-release and designed to release the drug slowly over time.
Your doctor will evaluate your response after 3 months.
If there is no improvement, treatment may be discontinued.
