Programme overview

• The Data Science and Big Data Technology (Chinese-taught) undergraduate programme (4 years) is delivered in Chinese and covers programming fundamentals, data structures, principles of database systems, operating systems, computer networks, probability and mathematical statistics, machine learning, data mining, fundamentals of big data technology, introduction to cloud computing, Python data analysis, and integrated professional practice with capstone project, building foundations in data science and big data technology, and data analytics and engineering applications through coursework and projects (aligned with “Core subjects” and the application process below; modules follow programme notices).

Career pathways (overview)

• Graduates may pursue roles in stomatological hospitals, hospital dental departments, dental clinics, and public health organisations, including oral clinical diagnosis and treatment support, prosthodontics and implant support, oral and maxillofacial surgery support, and oral public health support, subject to employers’ requirements and recruitment policies.
• They may also pursue further postgraduate study in stomatology, clinical stomatology, prosthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontology, and related MA/PhD programmes, subject to admissions.
