iCAUR 03 Officially Goes CKD In Shah Alam, Malaysia

iCAUR Malaysia is strengthening its presence in the local EV market with the start of CKD assembly operations for the iCAUR 03 in Shah Alam from May 2026. Following strong demand in Malaysia, where the brand registered 547 units in April 2026 alone, the company is now producing the stylish electric SUV locally at the Chery Corporate assembly plant.

The iCAUR 03 quickly gained attention in Malaysia thanks to its unique “Boxy Retro” design, offering a bold alternative to conventional SUVs on the road. With its rugged styling, futuristic lighting elements, and premium cabin experience, the EV has become one of the more eye-catching new electric SUVs in the market.

Despite the switch to local assembly, iCAUR confirmed that the CKD version will retain the same specifications as the imported CBU model, with no reduction in features or equipment. The top-spec Intelligent-Wheel Drive (iWD) variant continues to deliver 279 hp and 385 Nm, allowing the SUV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds.

Power comes from a 69.8 kWh battery pack that provides up to 418 km of driving range (NEDC) on a single charge. Prices for the locally assembled iCAUR 03 start from RM129,880, and buyers will also receive a complimentary 7 kW home charger together with free scheduled maintenance for two years or 45,000 km.
