Courses (overview)

• The Cyberspace Security (Chinese-taught) undergraduate programme (four years) covers advanced mathematics, discrete mathematics, programming and data structures, computer organisation and operating systems, computer networks, fundamentals of cryptography, network and system security, and Web and software security / offensive-and-defensive techniques, developing capabilities in cyberspace-security foundations, network- and system-security analysis and protection, applied cryptography and secure development through coursework, laboratory training and engineering projects (aligned with “Core subjects” and the application process below; modules follow programme notices).

Career pathways (overview)

• Graduates may pursue roles across network- and information-security vendors (firewall / SOC / SIEM / EDR / security-audit and similar security-product and service companies), security teams at internet and software companies, critical information-infrastructure organisations such as finance and telecom, security operations and compliance teams at government and enterprise clients, cryptography and state-cryptography product companies, security-consulting and penetration-testing service firms, plus cybersecurity- and cryptography-related research institutes, including network- and system-security engineering, secure development and code audit, penetration testing and red-team / blue-team exercises, security operations and incident response, cryptographic engineering and security protocols, data security and privacy protection, security compliance and risk management, technical support and project management (subject to employers’ licensing and role requirements).
• Further postgraduate study into cyberspace security, computer science and technology, software engineering, information security, cryptography, artificial intelligence or aligned MSc/PhD tracks may be pursued subject to admissions.
