Dosage: Insert one 4 /mL cartridge into the Respimat inhaler before first use. Each cartridge yields 60 puffs (30 full doses). Administer two puffs once daily, at the same time each day, for a total therapeutic dose of 5 /µg tiotropium
Preparation/Prior to Use:
If unused for >7 days, release one test puff toward the ground.
If unused for >21 days, prime by releasing puffs until visible mist appears, then two additional sprays
Inhalation Technique: Keep the device upright, turn the base until it clicks, open the cap fully, exhale away, close lips on mouthpiece, press dose-release while inhaling deeply, then hold breath ~10 seconds. Repeat for the second puff
Maintenance & Storage: Clean the mouthpiece weekly with a damp cloth—do not immerse. Discard and replace the cartridge after 60 puffs or 3 months from first use, whichever comes first
