[ FL-200 ] Floor Lamination

FL-200 Floor Lamination is a specialized, heavyweight protective film designed to be applied over floor graphics. In the professional printing industry, the "200" refers to its thickness: 200 microns ($200\mu m$).

Because floor stickers are subjected to heavy foot traffic, shopping carts, and cleaning chemicals, they require a much thicker and more "rugged" laminate than standard wall or window stickers.

Technical Specifications

• Thickness: 200 microns (¹$200\mu m$).² This is more than double the thickness of standard lamination ($80\mu m$).

   

• Finish: Sand Texture / Frosted Matte. This specific texture is required to provide "grip" so the sticker doesn't become a slip hazard when wet.

• Safety Rating: Often carries an R10 or R11 Slip Resistance certification (important for insurance and public safety compliance).

• Adhesive: High-bond permanent clear acrylic adhesive, designed to stick aggressively to the ink layer of the floor vinyl.

• Material: Cold-lamination PVC.³

• Scuff & Scratch Resistance: It acts as a sacrificial layer that takes the damage from shoes and wheels, protecting the printed image underneath from wearing off.

• UV Protection: It contains UV inhibitors that prevent the floor graphic from fading under harsh supermarket or mall lighting.

• Easy Cleaning: It is water-resistant and can withstand industrial floor scrubbers and detergents.⁵

Pro-Tip: The "Sand" Finish

When you look at FL-200, you will notice it isn't smooth like a window sticker. It has a visible sand-grain texture. This is intentional—smooth lamination on a floor is extremely dangerous because it becomes as slippery as ice when even a tiny amount of water is spilled on it.
