SELT-150 Car Static PVC is a specialized, non-adhesive vinyl film designed to stick to smooth surfaces (primarily glass) through "static cling" or molecular attraction rather than glue.
The "150" in the name refers to its thickness of 150 microns, which is significantly thicker than standard stickers. This extra thickness gives the material more "body," making it easier to peel off, handle, and reuse without it curling or tearing.
Thickness: 150 microns.
Material: Highly plasticized flexible PVC.
Adhesion Type: Static Cling (No adhesive residue).
Finish: Available in Clear (SELT-150)
Liner: Usually a 180g art paper or high-gloss backing to keep the cling side clean.
Compatibility: Best printed with Eco-Solvent, UV, and Latex inks.
Zero Residue: Since there is no glue, you can remove the sticker after months or years and the glass will be perfectly clean.
Reusable: If you keep the "cling" side clean (or wash it with mild soapy water), you can stick it back onto its original liner and use it again later.
Two-Sided Cling: Many versions can cling from both the front and back, allowing you to stick it to the inside of a car window so it is readable from the outside.
Tear-Resistant: The 150-micron PVC is very durable and difficult to rip by hand.
Service Reminders: Small stickers in the corner of the windshield for oil changes or tire rotations.
Parking Permits: Temporary permits for apartments, universities, or events that need to be moved between vehicles.
"Baby on Board" Signs: Or other decorative graphics that the owner might want to remove periodically.
Dash Cam Mounting: Often used as a "base layer" on the windshield; the dash cam's 3M adhesive is stuck to the static film, so the camera can be removed later without leaving glue on the glass.
New Car Features: Information stickers placed on car windows at dealerships.
The "Wet" Method: For a bubble-free finish, spray the glass with a tiny bit of water/soap mix, slide the static cling into place, and use a squeegee to push the water out.
Storage: Always keep the original backing paper. If you remove the sticker, place it back on the paper to prevent dust from ruining the "cling" surface.
