The EPS VCTT22040 Surge Protector is a Type 2 Surge Protective Device (SPD) designed to protect electrical systems and sensitive electronic equipment from transient voltage surges. With a 20kA nominal discharge current and 40kA maximum discharge capacity, it provides reliable protection against power surges caused by lightning activity and electrical switching operations.
Installed inside the distribution board, the SPD continuously monitors the electrical supply. When a surge occurs, it rapidly diverts excess voltage safely to earth, helping to prevent damage to connected equipment such as televisions, computers, networking devices, security systems, air conditioners, and household appliances.
The compact 1P+N DIN rail design allows easy installation in single-phase electrical systems. A built-in visual status indicator enables quick inspection of the protection condition, ensuring users can easily identify when replacement is required.
