Jetour G700 Teased for KLIMS 2026 – Powerful New PHEV SUV on the Way

Jetour Auto Malaysia has teased the upcoming Jetour G700, a large three-row SUV that is expected to make its Malaysian debut at KLIMS 2026 (Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026). First introduced in China last year, the G700 is positioned as a premium SUV and is set to rival models such as the GWM Tank 500.

The G700 measures 5,198 mm in length, 2,050 mm in width, and 1,956 mm in height, giving it a bold and commanding presence on the road. In China, the SUV is offered with six- and seven-seat layouts, making it a practical option for families who need extra space and comfort.

Power comes from a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system that combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with electric motors. The setup delivers an impressive 904 PS and 1,135 Nm of torque, allowing the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds.

The vehicle is equipped with a 34.13 kWh CATL battery, providing up to 150 km of pure electric driving range. It also supports 170 kW DC fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 10 minutes. In addition, the G700 features 6.6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing users to power external electrical devices directly from the vehicle. Jetour claims a total driving range of up to 1,400 km (CLTC).

Inside, the G700 offers a premium and technology-focused cabin. Key highlights include a 35.4-inch panoramic display strip, a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 17.3-inch roof-mounted entertainment screen for rear passengers. Rear occupants also get a dedicated 8.8-inch touchscreen for climate control functions.

Comfort features include heated, ventilated, and massage front seats, dual sunroofs, and ambient lighting. For entertainment, the SUV comes with a Lexicon premium audio system, which can be upgraded to as many as 18 speakers. Safety and driver assistance are handled by the Falcon 500 ADAS system, which includes advanced driving and parking assistance technologies.

Besides the G700, Jetour is also expected to showcase the Jetour T1 at KLIMS 2026. In China, the G700 is priced between 329,900 yuan and 384,900 yuan, equivalent to approximately RM191,000 to RM223,000. With the GWM Tank 500 currently priced at around RM328,000 in Malaysia, many are eager to see how the Jetour G700 will be positioned when it officially arrives in the local market.
