Will this work with a condenser microphone?
Note: This adaptor is typically used for Dynamic Microphones. Most 1/4" mono inputs (like those on a guitar amp) do not provide Phantom Power (+48V) required for condenser mics.
Will my mic sound different?
Because this converts a balanced signal to unbalanced, you may notice more noise over very long cable runs. For short runs (under 5-10 meters), the audio quality remains excellent.
Is this the same as a Stereo (TRS) adaptor?
No. This is a Mono (TS) adaptor. If you are plugging into a balanced studio interface, we recommend our TRS (Stereo) version to maintain a balanced signal.
