The AirTAC PCV Series is a pilot-controlled check valve designed for pneumatic systems that require a high degree of safety and positional accuracy. Unlike a standard check valve which only allows flow in one direction, a Pilot Non-return Valve can be "unlocked" by an external pilot signal to allow reverse flow.
This series is essential for applications where a pneumatic cylinder must maintain its position even if the main air supply is disconnected or a hose ruptures.
Safe Pressure Holding: Effectively locks air in the cylinder to prevent drifting or falling, making it a critical "safety loop" component.
Accurate Orientation: Allows for a cylinder to be stopped momentarily at a precise position during its stroke by cutting the exhaust air.
Pilot Release Function: The valve remains closed (blocking exhaust) until a pilot signal is received, which then pushes an internal piston to open the main check valve for reverse flow.
Space-Saving Design: Features a compact body with the option for "Fitting Joint Type" pilot ports, which simplifies installation in tight manifolds.
High-Speed Actuation: Optimized internal flow paths ensure minimal pressure drop when the valve is open and rapid locking when the signal is removed.
