Nippon Paint Platone High Gloss is an oil-modified alkyd enamel paint specifically formulated for interior and exterior wood and metal surfaces. Mixing: Stir the paint thoroughly before use to ensure the pigment and binder are perfectly blended.
Application Method: Apply using a high-quality Brush, Roller, or Conventional Air Spray.
Dilution:
Brush/Roller: Ready for use. If necessary, add maximum 5% thinner.
Spray: Dilute with 10% – 15% Nippon General Purpose Thinner for better atomization.
Cleaning: Clean all tools and equipment with Nippon General Purpose Thinner or Turpentine immediately after use.
Environmental Conditions: Avoid application during wet weather or when relative humidity is above 85%.
For Metal Surfaces:
Primer (1 Coat): Red Oxide Primer / Zinc Phosphate Primer.
Undercoat (1 Coat): 9000 Speed Undercoat / Economy Undercoat.
Topcoat (2 Coats): Platone High Gloss.
For Wood Surfaces:
Undercoat (1 Coat): 9000 Speed Undercoat / Economy Undercoat.
Topcoat (2 Coats): Platone High Gloss.
General Cleaning: Surfaces must be dry, clean, and free from dirt, grease, oil, and wax.
Metal Surfaces: Remove all rust and mill scale by wire brushing or sanding. For best results, degrease the surface with a solvent before priming.
Wood Surfaces: Sand the surface along the grain to remove loose fibers and splinters. Wipe off all dust before application.
Previously Painted Surfaces: Remove all loose or peeling paint. For surfaces in good condition, lightly sand with fine-grit sandpaper to provide a mechanical key for better adhesion.
Conditioning: Ensure the substrate is completely dry. Moisture trapped under the film can lead to blistering or loss of gloss.
