Nippon Paint Matex Weathergold is a high-quality, water-based acrylic emulsion paint specifically formulated for exterior masonry surfaces. Mixing: Stir the paint thoroughly with a clean paddle before use to ensure uniform color and consistency.
Application Method: Apply using a high-quality Brush, Roller, or Conventional Air Spray.
Dilution: Ready for use. If thinning is required for workability, use only clean water as specified.
Cleaning: Clean all tools and equipment with clean water immediately after use.
Environmental Conditions: Do not apply during rain or when the relative humidity is above 85%. Ensure the surface temperature is at least 3°C above the dew point.
Sealer/Primer (1 Coat): 5200 Wall Sealer / 5300 Basecoat Sealer / 5400 Wall Sealer.
Topcoat (2 Coats): Matex Weathergold.
Note: For chalky or old painted surfaces, it is recommended to use 5100 Wall Sealer or Ultra Sealer for better adhesion.
General Cleaning: Surfaces must be structurally sound, dry, clean, and free from dirt, grease, oil, and loose matter.
Debris Removal: Remove all loose or defective paint, powdery residues, and dust by scraping or high-pressure water jetting.
Biological Treatment: Treat areas affected by fungus or algae growth with Nippon Paint Fungicidal Wash and rinse thoroughly with water.
Repair: Fill cracks and surface defects with a suitable exterior-grade filler before painting.
Moisture & Alkalinity: New concrete or plaster must be allowed to cure for at least 28 days. Ensure moisture content is below 16% (measured by protimeter) and alkalinity is below pH 9.
Malaysia
