Heriot-Watt Leaders with Impact Scholarship

This scholarship initiative aims to empower Malaysian youth from B40 households by providing:

• Enhanced educational access and participation opportunities
• Inclusive support for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds
• Pathways to improve the quality of life for B40 communities (as defined by DOSM: households with monthly income below RM4,850)

Upon completion of their studies, scholarship recipients will be required to fulfill a service commitment through full-time employment with the sponsoring organization.

Eligible candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Malaysian citizens who have completed SPM/STPM/UEC or equivalent qualifications and intend to study at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia Campus
• Applicants from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, specifically those from B40 households with documented financial constraints (B40 classification: monthly household income under RM4,850)
• Demonstrated academic excellence in their previous qualifications:
  • Foundation applicants: Must meet the minimum SPM requirements for HWUM Foundation Programme
  • Undergraduate applicants: Must meet the minimum STPM/UEC requirements for HWUM Foundation Programme

• Recipients of this scholarship will be required to fulfill a service commitment after graduation through full-time employment with the sponsoring organization. The duration of this commitment will be determined by the sponsor's specific policies and guidelines.
