Popular Woven Label Folds
Center Fold: The label is folded in half, creating a front and back panel. It is the industry standard for neck labels, as both raw edges are hidden inside the seam, preventing irritation.
End Fold: The left and right ends are folded backward, creating finished edges. These are ideal for sewing flat onto the back neck or outside of a garment for a premium, clean look.
Loop Fold: Similar to a center fold but without a sharp crease, creating a softer, rounded loop. This is a popular choice for hem tags on sleeves or the bottom edge of T-shirts.
Manhattan Fold: A specialized center fold where the top edge is also tucked down, providing a very clean, high-end finish typically seen on premium T-shirt hems.
Mitre Fold: The ends are folded at a 45-degree angle, allowing the label to be sewn into a vertical seam and "hang" down. This is often used for "made in" or care instructions.
