Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the VDD pin to a power supply within the range of 2.7 V to 5.25 V.
    • Connect the GND pin to the ground.
  2. I2C Configuration:

    • Connect the SDA (Data) and SCL (Clock) pins to the I2C bus.
    • Ensure pull-up resistors are connected to both SDA and SCL lines to VDD.
  3. Initialization:

    • Send a start condition followed by the device address (0x90 for write, 0x91 for read).
    • Write the configuration register to set the desired mode (e.g., single conversion, continuous conversion).
  4. Conversion:

    • To start a conversion, write to the control register.
    • For single conversion mode, the device will perform one conversion and then enter idle mode.
    • For continuous conversion mode, the device will continuously perform conversions.
  5. Reading Data:

    • After the conversion is complete, send a start condition followed by the device address for read.
    • Read the data from the data register (16-bit value).
  6. Shutdown Mode:

    • To reduce power consumption, write to the control register to enter shutdown mode.
    • The device will consume approximately 1 μA in this mode.
  7. Temperature Considerations:

    • Ensure the operating temperature is within the specified range (-40°C to +85°C).
  8. Handling Static Electricity:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid damage from static electricity.
  9. Decoupling Capacitors:

    • Place decoupling capacitors close to the VDD and GND pins to ensure stable operation. Typically, a 0.1 μF capacitor is recommended.
