Nippon Paint Hydro Anti-Stick Clear is a revolutionary water-based, two-component (2K) functional clear coating designed to combat illegal sticking of advertisements and graffiti. This high-performance "Anti-Alat Sulit" or anti-sticker coating creates a unique, low-surface-energy finish that prevents adhesives from bonding to the substrate.
Ideal for public infrastructure such as lamp posts, bridge piers, traffic signal boxes, and TNB substations, it allows stickers to be easily peeled off without leaving residue. Being water-based, it is an eco-friendly, low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) solution that offers excellent weather resistance and UV protection while maintaining the aesthetic of the original surface
Type: Two-pack, water-based functional acrylic coating.
Mixing Ratio: 4 parts by weight of Base to 1 part by weight of Hardener.
Pot Life: 2 hours after mixing (at 30°C).
Drying Time: Touch dry in 1 hour; Hard dry in 4 hours (at 30°C).
Theoretical Coverage: Approximately 8.0 – 10.0 m² per litre per coat (depending on surface porosity).
Gloss Level: Available in Gloss or Matt finishes.
VOC Content: Low VOC, environmentally friendly formulation.
Preparation of Mix: Pour the Hardener into the Base container. Use a mechanical stirrer to mix thoroughly for at least 3-5 minutes until a completely uniform consistency is achieved.
Thinning: This product is generally ready for use after mixing. If thinning is required for workability, add a maximum of 5% clean water.
Method: Apply using a high-quality brush or roller. Ensure an even and generous film thickness to maximize the anti-stick properties. Avoid over-brushing which may cause aeration (bubbles).
For Masonry/Plastered Walls: * Top Coat: Hydro Anti-Stick Clear (2 Coats).
For Steel/Metal Substrates: * Primer: Suitable anti-corrosive primer (e.g., Nippon Aqua Primer Sealer).
Top Coat: Hydro Anti-Stick Clear (2 Coats).
Cleanliness: Ensure the surface is dry and free from dirt, grease, oil, wax, and other contaminants.
Masonry Surfaces: Allow new walls to dry completely (moisture content <16%, alkalinity <pH 9). Remove any efflorescence or laitance.
Previously Painted Surfaces: Remove all loose, peeling, or unstable paint film and powdery residue. Sand the surface lightly if necessary to improve adhesion.
Metal Surfaces: For maximum performance on steel, surfaces should be blast-cleaned or power-tool cleaned, then primed immediately to prevent flash rusting.
Environmental Check: Do not apply if the relative humidity exceeds 85% or if the surface temperature is less than 3°C above the dew point.
