With its excellent hiding power and smooth leveling, EasyWash is the ideal choice for those seeking a balance between aesthetic beauty and everyday practicality.
Paint Type: Water-based Interior Emulsion.
Finishing: Soft Sheen (Low Gloss).
Drying Time (at 30°C): Touch Dry in 30 minutes; Hard Dry in 1 hour.
Recocoating Interval: 2 hours minimum between coats for optimal film build.
Theoretical Coverage: 11 – 13 m² per litre per coat (varies based on surface texture).
Volume Solids: Approximately 34% by volume.
Special Features: Excellent washability, anti-fungus properties, and lead/mercury free.
Dilution: For best results, the paint is ready for use. If thinning is necessary for better workability on porous walls, add no more than 5% of clean water.
Mixing: Stir the paint thoroughly with a clean agitator before application to ensure uniform color distribution and consistency.
Application Method: Use a high-quality synthetic brush or a medium-nap roller. Apply in two coats, ensuring the first coat is completely dry before proceeding with the second.
Standard Interior Wall System:
Sealer/Primer: 1 coat of Nippon Paint 5200 Wall Sealer or 5500 Wall Sealer (to provide a solid foundation and prevent alkali attack).
Finish: 2 coats of Nippon Paint EasyWash.
For Repainting (Good Condition):
Finish: 2 coats of Nippon Paint EasyWash directly (ensure surface is cleaned and lightly sanded).
Cleaning: The substrate must be sound, clean, and free from grease, dust, or loose material. Wipe down walls with a damp cloth to remove surface grit.
Moisture & Alkali: Ensure new masonry is fully cured (at least 28 days). Moisture content must be below 16% and alkalinity below pH 9.
Repairing Defects: Fill cracks, holes, and surface unevenness with a suitable interior putty or filler. Sand smooth once dry.
Mould Treatment: If fungus or algae is present, treat the area with Nippon Paint Fungicidal Wash. Scrape off dead growth and allow to dry.
Old Paint Removal: For repainting, remove all unstable or flaking paint film. If the previous paint is chalky, use an oil-based sealer (like Nippon Paint 5100 Wall Sealer) to "lock" the chalky powder before applying the topcoat.
