The Trimstar PVC Water Drip Line (WDL Series) is a specialized architectural profile designed to provide a clean, professional finish to external edges of RC beams and slabs. Its primary function is to act as a drip groove, breaking the surface tension of rainwater to prevent it from flowing backward along the soffit (underside) of the structure. This prevents unsightly water stains, mold growth, and long-term erosion of the plaster.
Engineered for durability and ease of installation, these profiles replace traditional manual grooving, ensuring a perfectly straight line every time. Whether for residential or commercial projects, the WDL series offers an aesthetically pleasing solution to moisture management.
Model Numbers: WDL-A1 (Beige) / WDL-A1-B (Black)
Standard Length: 2.5 meters
Color Options: Beige, Black
Alignment: Identify the corner of the RC beam or slab where the drip line is required. Use a string line or laser level to ensure perfectly horizontal alignment.
Adhesion: Apply a thin layer of mortar or specialized PVC adhesive to the back of the perforated vertical flange (c).
Positioning: Press the PVC Water Drip Line firmly against the corner of the substrate. The perforated flange should be flush against the vertical wall, while the drip profile faces downward.
Securing: Use nails or staples through the perforated flange to hold the profile in place while the mortar sets.
Base Coat: Cement-based plaster or render (refer to "Plaster Spec" below).
Primer: Alkaline-resistant wall primer (for external applications).
Substrate Condition: The RC beam or slab must be structurally sound, clean, and free from dust, oil, or curing compounds.
Leveling: Any significant protrusions on the concrete surface should be chipped away to ensure the PVC profile sits flush.
