Measurement: Cut the PVC Tie Rod Protector to a length slightly shorter than the width of the wall or the distance between the formwork panels.
Insertion: Slide the protector sleeve over the flat tie rod before the rod is positioned through the formwork.
Securing: Position the tie rod with the protector into the formwork slots. Secure the rod using standard lock pins and round pins as per the formwork manufacturer's guidelines.
Extraction: Once the concrete has reached sufficient strength and formwork is being stripped, simply pull the tie rod out. The PVC sleeve will remain embedded in the concrete, leaving a clean channel for easy rod removal.

Patching: After the tie rod is removed, the remaining hole should be filled with a non-shrink grout or waterproof cementitious plug to ensure the integrity and water-tightness of the wall.
