PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Nippon Paint Q-Lac Gloss Finish is a high-performance, solvent-based alkyd enamel paint designed to provide a smooth and tough decorative finish for both interior and exterior surfaces. It is specifically formulated for use on wood and metal substrates, offering a brilliant high-gloss shine that enhances the aesthetic appeal of doors, grilles, railings, and furniture. This durable coating is engineered with fungus resistance to prevent the growth of mold and mildew, ensuring surfaces stay clean and vibrant even in humid environments. Approved by SIRIM to Malaysian Standard MS 125:1995, Q-Lac Gloss Finish combines long-lasting protection with an easy application process, making it a preferred choice for both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts.

Application Instructions

• Application Method: Apply using a Brush, Roller, Conventional Air Spray, or Airless Spray.

• Dilution: The paint is ready for use after thorough stirring. If thinning is required for workability, use Nippon Paint General Purpose Thinner at the recommended percentages.

• Cleaning: Clean all painting equipment with thinner or turpentine immediately after use.

• Safety Note: Ensure good ventilation during application and drying as this is a solvent-based product.

Recommended Coating System

For Wood Surfaces:

• Primer (1 Coat): 9000 Aluminium Wood Primer.

• Undercoat (1 Coat): 9000 Speed Undercoat / Economy Undercoat.

• Topcoat (2 Coats): Q-Lac Gloss Finish.

For Metal (Steel/Iron) Surfaces:

• Primer (1 Coat): Red Oxide Primer / Zinc Chromate Primer.

• Undercoat (1 Coat): 9000 Speed Undercoat / Economy Undercoat.

• Topcoat (2 Coats): Q-Lac Gloss Finish.

Surface Preparation

• Wood: Surface must be dry and free from dirt, grease, and other contaminants. Smoothen the surface with suitable sandpaper and clean off dust. Scraped or bare areas should be spot-primed with a wood primer.

• Metal: Surface must be dry and free from grease and rust. Ferrous substrates should be sanded or wire-brushed to remove mill scale and rust. Clean off dust and apply a metal primer immediately to prevent re-rusting.

• Previous Painted Surfaces: Remove all loose or defective paint film. Ensure the existing surface is clean, dry, and free from wax or grease before repainting.
