PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Nippon Paint EasySkim Plus 2000 is a high-performance, ready-to-use skim coat material designed specifically for crack reparation and smoothening uneven plastering walls. This styrene-acrylic based material is ideal for patching hairline cracks (less than 0.3mm) and drywall joints, providing a smooth and excellent finish. It adheres exceptionally well to a variety of substrates including cement render, concrete, painted surfaces, gypsum, and fiberboard. Suitable for both interior and exterior use, it offers good workability, excellent sanding properties, and superior weather and alkaline resistance. It is an essential preparation product to ensure a flawless and professional topcoat appearance.

Application Instructions

• Application Method: Apply using a Trowel or Skimming Blade.

• Dilution: Product is ready to use after thorough stirring. No dilution with water is required as it may affect the performance and drying properties.

• Cleaning: Clean up all equipment with clean water immediately after use.

• Note: Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Avoid application during wet weather or high humidity for exterior surfaces.

Recommended Coating System

• Crack Reparation / Surface Leveling: 2 Coats of EasySkim Plus 2000.

• Sealer / Primer (1 Coat): Nippon Paint Interior or Exterior Sealer (e.g., 5100 Wall Sealer or 8100 Weatherbond Sealer).

• Topcoat (2 Coats): Nippon Paint Interior or Exterior Products (e.g., Weatherbond, Vinilex, or Satin Glo).

Surface Preparation

• General Cleaning: Surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned, dry, and free from dirt, grease, oil, and other foreign matters.

• Defect Removal: Remove all loose or defective paint, powdery residues, loose chalk, and dust by scraping or brushing.

• Repair: Patch hairline cracks and level uneven surfaces using EasySkim Plus 2000. Once dry, smoothen the treated areas with suitable sandpaper.

• Moisture & Alkalinity: Allow all surfaces to dry completely. For best results, ensure wall moisture content is below 16% (measured by protimeter) and alkalinity is below pH 9 before proceeding to the sealer and topcoat layers.
