Nippon Paint CrackREPAIR 1000 is a high-performance, water-based acrylic flexible filler specifically engineered to repair and restore medium-sized cracks (0.3mm to 2.0mm), tiny holes, and seams. It is a ready-to-use formula suitable for both interior and exterior surfaces, including plastering, cement render, concrete, painted surfaces, and gypsum. Unlike standard brittle putties, its flexible nature allows it to accommodate minor structural movements, preventing the reappearance of cracks. It offers excellent workability, sagging resistance, and is easy to sand, providing a perfectly smooth foundation for subsequent painting.

Color: White
Touch Dry: 40 minutes (depending on temperature and humidity)
Hard Dry: 2 – 3 hours
Sanding Interval: Minimum 4 hours
Recoating Interval: Minimum 24 hours

Shelf Life: Up to 18 months in original unopened containers
Application Method: Apply using a Scraper, Putty Knife, Trowel, or Skimming Blade.
Dilution: Ready for use. No dilution is required.
Filling: Apply the filler directly into the crack. Press firmly to ensure the material penetrates deep into the gap to eliminate air pockets.
Layering: For deeper gaps, apply in layers (max 2mm per layer), allowing each layer to dry before the next.
Sanding: Once hard-dry, sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper (180–240 grit) to achieve a flush, level finish.
Cleaning: Wash all tools and equipment with clean water immediately after use.
Repair (1-2 Coats): CrackREPAIR 1000 (until surface is level).
Sealer/Primer (1 Coat): 5100 Wall Sealer (Exterior) or 5400 Wall Sealer (Interior).
Topcoat (2 Coats): For Interiors: Nippon Spot-less Plus / Odour-less AirCare. For Exteriors: Nippon Weatherbond / Weatherbond Ultimate.
Crack Cleaning: Use a small scraper or wire brush to "V-cut" or widen the crack slightly. This removes loose debris and allows the filler to grip the sides of the crack more effectively.
Dust Removal: Ensure the substrate is completely free from dust, dirt, grease, and loose particles.
Moisture Content: The surface must be dry. Recommended moisture content should be below 16% (measured by protimeter) and alkalinity below pH 9.
Fungus Treatment: If biological growth is present, treat the area with Nippon Paint Fungicidal Wash and allow to dry before applying the filler.
Pre-wetting: For highly porous cement surfaces, lightly dampen the crack with water before patching to improve adhesion.
