The Aerospace Engineering (Chinese-taught) undergraduate programme draws on BIT's traditional strengths in aerospace and the defence industry, emphasising fundamentals of aerodynamics, flight mechanics and aircraft conceptual design, aerospace structures and materials, aero-engines and propulsion fundamentals, avionics and flight control, and spacecraft systems and orbital mechanics as core modules, combined with aerodynamics and structures laboratories, flight-control and propulsion course projects, UAV and spacecraft-system comprehensive practice and industry internships, to develop aircraft conceptual and structural design, propulsion and control-system analysis, and aerospace and aeronautical-equipment R&D capabilities (see official notices for year-to-year arrangements).
