Arc Flash Hazard Analysis • ETAP Power System Studies

Arc Flash Risk Is Not Visible. It Must Be Calculated.

ETAP-based arc flash analysis, short-circuit study and protection coordination for safer electrical work.

Saturn Pyro provides Electrical Arc Flash Hazard Analysis and ETAP Power System Study services for industrial, commercial, infrastructure and critical facilities.

Using ETAP, we model your electrical network to calculate fault levels, protection operating time, incident energy, arc flash boundary and PPE requirements. This helps your team understand the real hazard before electrical work is carried out.

Model the system. Calculate the hazard. Label the risk. Improve electrical safety.

What Is Arc Flash?

Arc flash is a dangerous electrical fault event where energy is released through the air. It can cause burns, blast pressure, fire, equipment damage and serious injury to personnel working near electrical panels.

The hazard level depends on system voltage, available fault current, protection clearing time, working distance and equipment configuration. That is why proper calculation is required.

Fault Current + Protection Time + Working Distance = Incident Energy and Arc Flash Risk

Why ETAP Is Used

Digital Electrical Model ETAP creates a model of the real electrical network for engineering simulation and calculation.
Accurate Fault Calculation Short-circuit levels are calculated to understand available fault energy at each location.
Protection Timing Matters Breaker and relay clearing time strongly affects arc flash incident energy and PPE requirements.

What Saturn Pyro Offers

Site Data Collection Review SLD, transformer data, switchgear, breakers, relays, cables, settings and connected loads.
ETAP System Modelling Build or update the electrical model to simulate load flow, faults and protection behaviour.
Short-Circuit Study Calculate available fault current and verify equipment rating against fault duty.
Protection Coordination Review device operation, selectivity and tripping sequence to improve fault isolation.
Arc Flash Calculation Calculate incident energy, working distance, arc flash boundary and required PPE level.
Labels and Report Provide arc flash labels, study report, findings, concerns and practical recommendations.
