Actilyse Treatment Set 50 mg/50 mL contains 50 mg of alteplase (recombinant human tissue-type plasminogen activator) in a vial, along with 50 mL of sterile water for injection. When reconstituted, the solution contains 1 mg of alteplase per mL.
Indications:
Actilyse is used for:

• Acute Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack): To dissolve blood clots in the arteries of the heart.
• Acute Massive Pulmonary Embolism: To dissolve blood clots in the arteries of the lungs.
• Acute Ischemic Stroke: To dissolve blood clots in the arteries of the brain.

1. Reconstitution: Add the entire contents of the vial of sterile water for injection to the vial containing alteplase powder. Gently swirl until the powder is completely dissolved.
2. Administration: Inject the reconstituted solution intravenously (IV) as directed by your healthcare provider.
3. Dosage: The dosage and administration schedule will be determined by your healthcare provider based on your specific condition and medical history.
4. Precautions: Inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of bleeding disorders, recent surgery, or any condition that increases the risk of bleeding. Regular monitoring is required during treatment.
