Vacrax Injection 250mg contains Acyclovir 250mg. Acyclovir is an antiviral agent used to treat infections caused by herpes viruses.
Indications:

• Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV): Treatment of infections caused by HSV types 1 and 2, including genital herpes and cold sores.
• Varicella-Zoster Virus (VZV): Treatment of infections caused by VZV, such as chickenpox and shingles.
• Cytomegalovirus (CMV): Prevention of CMV infections in immunocompromised patients, such as those undergoing marrow transplantation.

• Dosage: Typically, 250mg administered intravenously every 8 hours, but follow your doctor's prescription.
• Administration: Injected slowly over at least 1 hour.
• Monitoring: Regular kidney function tests are recommended.
• Precautions: Use with caution in patients with renal impairment. Avoid if you have a history of hypersensitivity to acyclovir or any component of the formulation.
