Proton X50 Now Available in Quartz Black for All Variants
Proton has introduced a sleek new Quartz Black colour option for the popular Proton X50, now available across all variants. This follows the limited X50 Black Edition launch in March, which featured only 200 units of the Flagship variant. Proton says the new black finish enhances the SUV’s bold styling, making chrome accents and LED lighting details stand out while giving the vehicle a more aggressive and sporty look. Beyond aesthetics, black remains a popular choice among buyers for its strong resale value and broad appeal in the used car market.
The X50 continues to dominate Malaysia’s SUV market, recording 3,265 units sold in March 2026 and a total of 7,571 units for the first three months of the year, marking a 48% increase compared with the same period in 2025. To complement the vehicle’s popularity, Proton has rolled out a comprehensive after-sales programme aimed at convenience. The Fast Service initiative completes basic maintenance, such as engine oil and filter changes, within 90 minutes for customers who book ahead.
For more extensive servicing, the One-Day Service Delivery promise ensures vehicles are returned within 24 hours, while a relief car and one-time free service covering parts and labour are provided if repairs take longer than three days.
