Overview – What you need to know

• RON95 Monthly Quota Reduced to 200L from April

From 1 April 2026, the Budi Madani RON95 subsidised quota is reduced from 300L to 200L (RM1.99/L). Around 90% of users consume below 200L, while e-hailing drivers retain an 800L quota.

• 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐀𝐭 𝐑𝐎𝐍𝟗𝟓 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐈𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝

Starting 1 April 2026, foreign-issued credit and debit cards will no longer be accepted at self-service RON95 pumps. Any ineligible transactions will be automatically declined to stop foreign-registered vehicles from misusing Malaysia’s fuel subsidy system.

• Online Tax Amendment Requests Open from 1 April

Taxpayers who have over-reported income or missed eligible reliefs can make corrections via MyTax (mytax.hasil.gov.my) using the “e-Permohonan Pindaan BE” feature starting 1 April 2026.

• Reminder: The deadline for Form BE submission is 30 April 2026, extended to 15 May 2026 for e-Filing users. Submit on time to avoid penalties.
