The Halal Product Capacity Development Grant is an initiative by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), aimed at supporting Malaysian SMEs in enhancing their halal product capabilities and market competitiveness. This grant provides financial assistance of up to RM30,000 per applicant, subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
The support may cover areas such as training and advisory services, packaging design, labeling and printing, brand development, MyIPO registration, product nutrition testing, prototype development, and product shelf-life testing.
Eligible applicants must be Malaysian-owned SMEs (PMKS), registered with SSM, SKM, or relevant authorities, and fully owned by Malaysian citizens. Businesses are required to have a valid halal certification with at least six months’ remaining validity and must have been in operation for a minimum of six months.
