Turn Your Rooftop Into Smarter Energy Savings.
Generate clean solar energy for your home, reduce your dependence on grid electricity. With a properly designed rooftop solar system, your home can use solar energy during the day. When your system produces more energy than your home needs, eligible excess electricity may be exported to the grid and credited against your future electricity bills.
Solar Rakyat Sabah is a Net Energy Metering programme for eligible domestic consumers in Sabah. With a limited 20MW quota, applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis until 2028 or until the quota is fully allocated.
HAG Solar is here to guide you from first assessment to completed installation and programme application coordination.

HAG Solar helps homeowners navigate the process from roof assessment to application, installation, testing and commissioning.
What Is Solar Rakyat Sabah?
A Solar Programme Designed for Sabah Homes
Solar Rakyat Sabah allows eligible homeowners to install a rooftop solar PV system mainly for their own daytime electricity usage.
During the day, your home uses solar energy first. When your solar system produces more than your household consumes, eligible excess energy can be exported to the grid and measured through a bi-directional smart meter.
This can help reduce your electricity bill while allowing your home to contribute to Sabah’s cleaner energy future.
Use solar first. Export surplus where eligible. Save smarter.
Solar Rakyat Sabah is designed for self-consumption, not for selling electricity as cash income. Energy credits are used to offset eligible electricity charges and are subject to programme billing and settlement terms.
Why Apply Now ?
Limited Quota. First Come, First Served.
The programme has a total quota of 20MW and is available until 2028 or until the quota is fully allocated, whichever comes first.
Do not wait until the last minute to start your assessment. Before any formal submission, HAG Solar can help you review your electricity bill, roof condition, meter type and likely system size.

Three-Phase Home - Up to 10kWac
Suitable for larger homes with higher electricity consumption, more air-conditioners, larger households or home-based daytime usage.
Your final system size should be based on your electricity usage, daytime consumption pattern, roof space, shading, electrical setup and programme approval. Bigger is not always better. A well-sized system creates a cleaner savings story.
