Almost 200,000 Diesel Vehicle Owners Now Eligible for 300L Monthly Fuel Quota

Almost 200,000 owners of diesel pick-up trucks and SUVs have been approved for an additional 100 litres of subsidised diesel per month under the Budi Madani Diesel (Budi Diesel) programme.
With the extra allocation, eligible recipients can now enjoy up to 300 litres of subsidised diesel each month, starting in July. The approved group includes more than 174,000 owners in Peninsular Malaysia and over 22,000 in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan.
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) said the additional quota is provided to better support owners of diesel pick-ups and SUVs, as these vehicles are commonly used for business, daily travel, and trips to rural areas.
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan said the extra allocation is intended to help eligible vehicle owners better manage their monthly diesel expenses.
He added that the Budi Diesel programme is also aimed at ensuring fuel subsidies are given to those who genuinely need them while reducing subsidy leakages.
