Moving Towards Sustainable Energy

Penang Green Summit 2025 will take place from 31 October to 1 November 2025 at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC). With the theme “Moving Towards Sustainable Energy,” the two-day summit will bring together industry leaders, government representatives, academics, innovators, and cross-sector stakeholders to discuss sustainable energy and Malaysia’s energy transition.

Organised by Penang Green Council and co-organised by Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai (MBSP) and Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang (MBPP), the summit features a conference, exhibition, networking sessions, and discussions focused on practical pathways towards a resilient, low-carbon future.

The programme covers five key areas: innovation in the energy sector, Malaysia’s energy transformation, energy use in the manufacturing sector, digitalisation of the energy sector, and the way forward for sustainable energy. Other discussions include hydrogen-based mobility, financing for energy projects, carbon markets, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and private-sector investment.
