EKG M&E Sdn Bhd has completed the deployment and commissioning of a new, high-efficiency wall-mounted air conditioning split system. This project highlights our team's focus on precise mechanical mounting, clean utility routing, and rigorous structural integrity to support continuous climate control.


1. The Challenge: Structural Load & Vibration Isolation

Wall-mounted split units require careful positioning to ensure optimal airflow distribution across the room volume. Architecturally, the indoor unit must be perfectly leveled to prevent gravity-fed condensate water from pooling and overflowing. Externally, the outdoor condenser must be securely anchored to structural walls with robust vibration-isolation pads to eliminate structural noise transmission into the building interior.


2. Technical Execution: Standard-Setting Split System Installation

Our technical team executed a systematic installation and testing protocol:

  • Heavy-Duty Wall Bracket Mounting: The indoor unit backing plate was anchored and leveled precisely. Simultaneously, the outdoor condenser bracket was structurally bolted to the exterior wall, engineered to easily support the physical weight and operational torque of the compressor.

  • Precision Core Hole Drilling & Pipe Wrapping: A neat wall penetration was drilled to route the utility lines. The liquid line, suction line, and electrical communication cables were bundled together and wrapped with premium insulation to eliminate condensation and prevent thermal energy losses.

  • Refrigerant Circuit Integration: Technicians executed clean flare connections at both the service valves and indoor unit ports. The entire circuit was put through a deep vacuum process to extract trace moisture and non-condensable gases before releasing the refrigerant.

  • Weatherproof PVC Trunking: To shield the insulated copper piping from physical damage and UV degradation, all external runs were neatly enclosed within heavy-duty protective PVC trunking, ensuring a clean and streamlined exterior finish.

  • System Testing & Airflow Verification: Upon re-energizing the circuit, our team monitored thermal output and validated automatic louver modulation to ensure immediate, multi-directional air throw throughout the space.


3. Project Outcome & Value Delivered

  • Whisper-Quiet Operation: Secure bracket anchoring combined with balanced fan assemblies minimizes structural vibration, delivering high-velocity cooling with minimal ambient noise.

  • Long-Term Thermal Efficiency: Proper line insulation and a fully evacuated refrigerant circuit reduce load stress on the compressor, optimizing the system's Coefficient of Performance (COP) and lowering power draw.

  • Intact Building Aesthetics: Enclosing all visible lines in protective trunking ensures the installation looks professional and blends cleanly with the existing exterior facade.
