AirTrunk to Invest RM12bil in New Johor Data Centre Expansion

KUALA LUMPUR — Data centre company AirTrunk will invest RM12 billion to develop two new hyperscale data centre campuses in Johor, further strengthening the state’s position as a regional digital infrastructure hub.

The new facilities, known as JHB3 and JHB4, will be located in Iskandar Puteri and are expected to provide more than 280 megawatts of IT capacity.

According to the company, the latest expansion will increase AirTrunk’s total committed investment in Malaysia to approximately RM27 billion across four campuses.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the additional investment reflects continued investor confidence in Malaysia’s digital economy and long-term growth potential.

AirTrunk said the new campuses are designed to support growing demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure in the region.
