WeChat has officially connected with QR payment systems in five countries, making cross-border payments much easier.
Supported Countries & Systems
The newly integrated systems include:
DuitNow QR (Malaysia)
SGQR+ (Singapore)
PromptPay (Thailand)
ZeroPay (South Korea)
LANKAQR (Sri Lanka)
This means Malaysian users can simply scan and pay with WeChat when visiting these countries — no need to switch apps.
