The scope involved the strategic decommissioning, transport, and re-installation of an 8HP Ducted Unit and a 5HP Cassette Unit to optimize airflow and cooling efficiency within a heavy-duty operational environment.


1. The Challenge: Industrial-Scale Relocation

Relocating high-horsepower HVAC units requires more than just physical labor; it demands precise mechanical recalibration. High-capacity units like the 8HP ducted system are central to environmental control in large spaces. Improper relocation can lead to refrigerant leaks, compromised duct integrity, or electrical imbalances that threaten the longevity of the compressor.


2. Technical Execution: Decommissioning to Commissioning

Our engineering team followed a rigorous multi-stage process to ensure zero downtime and peak performance post-installation:

  • System Decommissioning & Refrigerant Recovery: Before relocation, we performed a controlled pump-down to recover refrigerant, ensuring environmental compliance and preventing system contamination.

  • Structural Fabrication & Modification: As seen in our field operations, custom metal supports and brackets were fabricated on-site. Precision cutting and grinding ensured that the mounting frames for the outdoor condensers were perfectly leveled and secured against vibration.

  • Precision Lifting & Positioning: Using heavy-duty material handling equipment, the 8HP ducted indoor unit was carefully maneuvered and hoisted into its new ceiling position. We prioritized secure anchoring to accommodate the unit's weight and high airflow velocity.

  • Complex Piping & Electrical Integration: New copper refrigerant piping was routed and insulated to minimize thermal loss. Our technicians executed high-quality brazing and pressure testing to guarantee leak-free operation.

  • Cassette & Duct Integration: The 5HP cassette unit was integrated into the existing ceiling grid, while the 8HP ducted unit was re-coupled with the ventilation network, ensuring balanced static pressure across the workspace.
