SuRIA Home is a government-led residential solar rebate program designed to encourage households to install rooftop solar PV systems. The goal is to help reduce electricity bills while promoting the use of clean and renewable energy.
Eligible users who complete their Solar ATAP system installation and successfully commission the system may receive a cash rebate of up to RM3,000.
This program is also part of Malaysia’s national energy transition plan, aiming to gradually increase the share of renewable energy in the country’s power generation mix.
You are eligible if you meet the following conditions:
⚠️ Each user is only entitled to apply once.
The rebate is calculated based on your system capacity:
👉 RM600 per 1 kWac
👉 Maximum rebate: RM3,000
Example:
The larger the system, the higher the rebate, up to the maximum limit of RM3,000.
Starting from 1 June 2026, TNB will notify eligible users in stages to submit their banking details.
After verification:
⚠️ The bank account must be under the same name as the TNB registered account holder.
Yes, but act fast.
As long as your Solar ATAP system is successfully commissioned by 31 December 2026, you are still eligible.
However, this is a first-come, first-served program, and the quota may be fully utilized early.
Only once.
Even if you own multiple properties or systems, only the first successfully commissioned system will qualify.
If the previous owner has already claimed the rebate, you will not be eligible to claim again.
This is because the rebate is tied to the first commissioning of the system.
No.
Any future system upgrades or capacity expansion will not qualify for additional rebate.
However, the additional solar capacity will still help you reduce your electricity bills.
